Move-In Volunteers Needed!

Come join us in rolling out the big blue carpet to welcome our new UK family!

We need volunteers who can give a warm welcome, help unload items from vehicles or check out/in carts.

The University of Kentucky's Move-In events are on the following dates and times:

Students will move in between 9am and 4:30pm each day of move-in. We need volunteers to work shifts
between 8:00am and 5pm (2-hour minimum shifts). Volunteers are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts.

    Monday, August 15: Living Learning Programs, Honors College
    Tuesday, August 16: New Non-LLP Students, Wildcats First (First Generation)
    Wednesday, August 17: New Non-LLP Students

Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

  • Unloader - unload student belongings from vehicles onto tables
  • Cart Station - assist with cart check out/in and physical handling of carts
  • Traffic Coordinator - greet students and families and explain move-in procedure

After you have signed up, if you need to view your individual volunteer shift, please click here, for groups click here; these links will also be used to cancel shifts. To make changes or corrections use the cancellation link then go back to the home page and enter the new information.
